Description
Czech coal mining company Severni Energeticka announced the closure of the last Czech deep brown coal mine Centrum in 2015. 300 jobs are to be affected by the closure but the company is currently working on a plan to preserve at least some of them. The closure of the coal mine in the Most region of the Czech Republic was initially decided by the government in 1994 but its operation was extended several times.
