European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Aligrup, an Italian company operating in the retail and distribution sector, is to dismiss all its 478 employees. Redundancies will affect, in particular, members of professional and managerial staff, 144 white-collars and 329 blue-collars currently receiving support via the wages guarantee fund (CIG).
Redundancies concern stores located in the provinces of Catania, Palermo, Siracusa, Ragusa and Enna. As reported, the liquidator is looking for entrepreneurs or companies interested in purchasing Aligrup’s stores in order to avoid redundancies.
