Description
Supplier of food processing and packaging equipment Gea announced to cut 360 jobs within the next three years in Germany. As reported, the cost cutting measure is part of a global restructuring plan affecting 1,000 jobs. In Germany, Gea currently employs 5,500 people at 20 sites.
There were several job reductions at Gea in the past years. In 2009, total job reduction affected around 3,100 jobs, between 100 and 200 of them in Germany.
In 2012, GEA announced to shut down its affliate Ruhr-Zink in Datteln which affected 235 people.
