European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Elanders, a Swedish based global infomedia and printing group, has announced an internal restructuring affecting 120 employees in Värnamo, Vällinge and Mönlycke, Sweden. The restructuring is a result of a decline in demand of printed paper products in recent years and due to increasing competition from foreign markets. According to the sources, 90 jobs will be cut from the site in Mönlycke, 20 from Vällingby and 10 from Värnamo.
Elanders global business operates in 9 countries on 4 continents, with almost 1,900 employees. The company has conducted several smaller restructurings throughout the last couple of years to face a structural shift in demand. In 2008 the company conducted its most recent larger restructuring.
