The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
The national air carrier Czech Airlines (CSA) has announced 315 redundancies out of 900 staff due to financial difficulties attributed to last year's loss of CZK 922 million (33m euro) and also a considerable drop in the number of passengers from the countries of the former Soviet Union. The job cuts will affect 77 pilots, 172 cabin crew members and 66 posts in administration. Trade Unions have declared a strike alert.
Currently, CSA employs 900 people (230 pilots, 400 stewards and 270 administrative workers)
As of September 2014, no timeline was given.
