European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
SCA, a German producer of hygienic paper, will discontinue the production of packaging papers and special papers in Mannheim. As announced on 30 October 2014, the measure will affect 110 of a total of 2,000 employees. Production is to be ceased within the first quarter of 2015.
The CEO said the company would try to offer jobs at other sites of SCA to the affected staff. In the future, the company will exclusively focus on the production and marketing of hygiene papers its site in Mannheim.
