Chemical company Huntsman is to cut 527 out of 1,144 jobs at its German subsidy Sachtleben. The reduction will affect both plants in Homberg and Uerdingen with 353 and 174 staff.
US-company Huntsman has acquired Sachtleben two months ago in October 2014. The works council was shocked by the announcement and wants to negotiate the extent of the job reduction. Huntsman is a worldwide operating chemical company employing around 12,000 people.
