Description
Llanelli-based car components manufacturer Gestamp Tallent has announced it is to create 60 new jobs. The job creation is being facilitated by investment from the Welsh Government. The £10 million investment has helped to pay for a new hot metal stamping press - one of only two in the UK - which produces components lighter and stronger than those made with cold pressing technology. Five years ago the company was reported to be on the verge of closing down, but has experienced a remarkable turnaround. These latest jobs are in part a result of a five year contract to supply parts to Jaguar Land Rover. It is not known when the jobs will be filled.
