The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Vlacea county road and bridge operator (RJDPV) is to lay off at least 95 people by the end of 2015. The company, which is responsible for the maintenance and construction of county roads and bridges, has suffered the consequences of unpaid work.
Over the last three years the company's financial situation has worsened. In 2015, provisions for severance payments, up to six months of wages, were made for employees with more than 15 years of seniority. The restructuring plan should be approved by the Valcea County Council so that RJDPV can avoid insolvency.
