European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Tieto, Finnish IT-company, has announced that they will create over 100 jobs at the newly opened support service center in Estonia. The company has already hired 49 new employees, mostly Estonians. The company is willing to offer this employment oportunity also to workers who have lost their jobs due to the recent closure of the company unit located in Finland. The support service center was moved to Estonia as it is believed to allow for more efficient, cheap and better quality provision of services.
Tieto has around 14,000 employees across the world, around 135 of them work in Estonia.
