Description
The Commercial Court of Strasbourg announced the bankruptcy of Trabet on 27th April.
On 20 May, the court approved the takeover of Trabet (with 105 employees) and its subsidiaries – ETM (25 employee), Perco in Illkirch-Graffenstaden and Trameca in Haguenau (20 employees) – by Karp-Kneip that will maintain 150 positions.
The court has also approved the takeover of the group last subsidiary Société alsacienne de route (Sarmac) based in Rixheim (Haut-Rhin) by the French company NGE that will keep 35 employees.
Finally the dismantling of the group Trabet will lead to 175 job cuts. This decision is a direct consequence of adverse market conditions, marked by a drop in construction contracts coupled with declining state grants to communities.
