Description
As part of the restructuring programme and a plan of financial consolidation, Djuro Djakovic Holding Group will cease electrical installation activities. Representatives of the company Djuro Djakovic Elektromont, the independent trade union "Social Justice" (Socijalna pravda) and holding company Djuro Djakovic signed 'Slavonski Brod' the socio-economic agreement which cancelled the employment contracts for 100 workers. It is part of the restructuring plan and the financial consolidation of Holding, which stipulates that the Group Djuro Djakovic, as part of the restructuring programme ceases electrical installation activities. Djuro Djakovic Elektromont provided electrical and other engineering services and products for industrial and public utility use. Products and services include electric process control equipment and power supply design and installation, traffic signals and related equipment, crane overhaul, light metal forming and assembly, and powder coating. In the last few years the company began to provide civil engineering services for housing, factory, and business construction projects. Workers will be provided with support in organisation of a new company and to carry out electrical installation activities. With financial resources from their severance payment they will establish the new company where they will be shareholders. It will keep the current company name and available references as well as already signed contracts for orders with domestic and foreign clients. Renting of production halls and office space will be available to workers on preferential terms, and assistance will be provided for the purchase of basic equipment.
