Description
The truck manufacturer DAF is going to increase the production for the third time this year creating 400 new jobs, 200 in Eindhoven (The Netherlands) and 200 in the Belgian facility at Westerlo. Also in April 2015, vacancies for new employees were announced (300 in Eindhoven and 100 in Westerlo). That makes a total of 300 new jobs in Westerlo since January 2015. This in contrast to December 2014, when the Westerlo facility was confronted with a loss of 100 jobs. The spokesman of DAF refers to the economic recovery to explain the rising demand for trucks.
