European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Oil and gas extraction company Technip has announced that it has begun consultation proceedings over the loss of 80 jobs at its Westhill site just outside Aberdeen. The oil and gas industry has been under pressure for some time, and earlier in 2015 the company announced that 6,000 jobs were under threat across its worldwide operations. The Westhill site currently employs 700 workers. The timeline for the consultation has not been reported, but due to the numbers involved must be a minimum of 30 days before any dismissals can take effect.
