Description
Dutch geophysical survey and service provider Fugro has announced a further 500 job cuts. This follows more than 1,000 job losses early in 2015. This round of job loss is due to the continuing low global oil prices, which has resulted in fewer oil companies contracting Fugro's services. The company intends to move into new markets such as infrastructure and wind energy, however this is difficult considering its low performance in the last year - this is the fourth quarter that it will operate at a loss.
