European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
The multinational company Bridgestone Corporation, one of the biggest tyres and rubber producer in the world, has announced the creation of 170 new jobs at its factory of tyres in Stargard (Pomeranian Special Economic Zone). The company has officially launched a second production line. The factory can now make 360 tyres for trucks and busses and 1700 treads per day.
The company has invested EUR 120 million, partly covered by a government grant. Bridgestone has 4 factories in Poland (in Poznań, Wolsztyn, Żarów, Stargard). The factory in Stargard has been in operation since May 2009.
