The vinyl company IVC is enlarging its establishment in Avelgem by creating a new production facility (20,000 sq m). The establishment will be as automated as possible in order to reduce wage costs. The investment is nonetheless creating 180 new jobs. Since 2015, IVC is part of the worldwide American floor covering company Mohawk. The decision to make the new investment in the establishment in Avelgem is based on the location: Belgium is in the well-located in the middle of the most important sales areas for the company: France, Germany, the United Kingdom and the Netherlands.
