The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Sparkasse, a German savings bank, announced to cut 100 out of 1,300 jobs at regional level within the next five years. The savings bank wants to merge its subsidiaries in Ingolstadt, Eichstätt and Pfaffenhofen. According to Sparkasse's management, the company wants to become more competitive. The savings bank is currently negotiating with the District Administrator and the mayors of the affected cities. In total, Sparkasse employs approximately 240,100 employees.
