European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
In December 2015, German automotive components producer Kostal opened its second production facility in Smolyan, where 100 new jobs are expected to be created by the end of 2016.
The first Kostal facility opened in Bulgaria has been operational since 2011 and employs 750 people. Main customers are Volskwagen, Ford, FIAT, Bentley, Lamborghini, Porsche, BMW and Daimler.
Founded in 1912 in Germany, the Kostal Group has five main business divisions, namely automotive electrical systems, industrial electronics, connectors, test technology and solar electrics.
