Description
The Christian trade union ACV-CSC has started a restructuring in which 103 employees will depart via early retirement. Another 123 employees, 55 years old or more, will be obliged to shift to part-time work.
The trade union has encountered financial difficulties since the voluntary liquidation of Arco (in 2011), its financial holding company, in the wake of the collapse of Dexia bank - which held most of Arco's funds. A restructuring plan, merging twelve regional departments into five provincial departments, is intended to eliminate some duplicate jobs in support functions as well as management jobs.
