European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
The CEO of Thales has announced its group will recruit between 2,000 and 2,500 employees on permanent employment contracts in 2016 (in comparison to 1,600 in 2015). It will also recruit at least 1,500 apprenticeships. Thales is a major player in the French high-tech industry, and specialises in secure communications systems. Thales currently employs 34,000 people at 70 sites in seven French regions and has a total of 61,000 employees worldwide. The French president, François Hollande, commended the group and noted that it is proof that large industrial groups are still hiring.
