The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Swiss insurance company Zurich has announced a reduction in the number of executives positions by 350 jobs. The UK cuts are part of global restructuring of the business that will ultimately result in a planned reduction of 20 per cent of executive roles worldwide. The company has said that no broker-facing roles will be reduced. These job losses are in addition to the loss of 440 UK jobs that occurred at the operational level and were completed by the end of March 2016 (see earlier fact sheet).
