European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
US manufacturer of mining and energy equipment, Caterpillar, has announced the loss of between 5,000 and 10,000 jobs in it global operations. The company blames declining demand for its products related to the slump in commodity prices. The company has already reduced its headcount by over 30,000 since mid-2012.
