The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
The Norwegian telecommunication company Telenor has announced plans to expand and will recruit 130 new employees with 'digital competences' during the upcoming months. The recruitment campaign for new employees is ongoing and new employees will be hired between November and December 2016. The reason for the expansion is market changes where the demand for smart and simple digital solutions has increased both from companies and private customers.
The recruitment campaign for new employees is executed through advertisements and headhunting.
The ERM has most recently reported on lay-offs at Telenor in Norway in 2016, and the most recent case for Sweden were redundancies in 2012.
