European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
BAE Systems has been awarded a contract to supply the Indian army with field guns which will result in the creation of 130 jobs at its site in Barrow, Cumbria. Further jobs are expected to be created in the supply chain across the UK. The GBP 445 million (€524 million) contract is being let by the U.S. Government as part of its commitment to invest in other countries defence programmes. Work on the new contract will begin immediately, with first deliveries of the weapons scheduled for June 2017.
