European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
The company Global Energy Services (GES), specialized in the construction of facilities and provision of services associated to the production of renewable energy, will implement an employment adjustment plan affecting 453 workers in Spain (69%). The company is undergoing bankruptcy proceedings. According to the trade union ELA, the employment adjustment is a fraud and has been designed by the investors who will buy the company once the dismissals are implemented. The trade unions has announced actions that will start on the 1st of February with a 4 hours strike.
