On 22 February 2017, fashion retailer C&A announced to cut 160 jobs in Düsseldorf, Germany. The affected jobs are placed in the administration department of C&A in Düsseldorf. Negotiations with the works’ council will start shortly.
These job cut form part of a restructuring plan. Further 70 jobs will be cut at the European headquarter in Vilvoorde, Belgium. The company seeks create leaner structures in order to become more flexible and reduce its costs.
At the moment, C&A employs about 1,400 administration staff in Germany.
