Description
On 7 March 2017, the French pharmaceutic producer Sanofi-Aventis announced to cut 480 jobs in Frankfurt-Höchst until 2019. 200 out of these 480 job cuts will be implemented by terminating fixed-term contracts. Affected is the production department where a total of about 5,300 staff members are working at the moment.
The job cuts are part of a restructuring programme. Recently, Sanofi and the German pharmaceutic producer Boehringer Ingelheim swapped business parts. Boehringer Ingelheim took over the business part for veterinary medicines from Sanofri and Sanofri took over the non-prescription market from Boehringer Ingelheim.
Sanofi employs 7,300 staff members at its site in Frankfurt-Höchst.
