Bitdefender is a Romanian cybersecurity and antivirus software company founded in 2001. This company has moved the production of its second generation Box device from China to a factory in Satu-Mare (Romania) although production costs in Romania are 7% higher than it in Asian countries. "It’s also a personal ambition to prove that we can do top things here" said Bitdefender CEO, "Two years ago, when we started the production of the first Bitdefender Box version, there were no conditions in Romania for the production, now the conditions changed massively". At present, Bitdefender produces around 1,000 devices each week, which will be boosted to over 3,000 in the future.
