European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Telecommunications company Iris Telecommunication Poland, a subsidiary of Nokia, announced it will create 250 jobs at its new unit in Łódź. The company is mainly looking for specialists in project management, including construction, as well as professionals competent in the field of optic fiber network design and construction. The branch will specialise in design and construction of optical fiber networks in 13 central areas of Poland.
Nokia has been operating in Poland for 25 years, providing technology and professional services for mobile and fixed networks, including broadband access, public safety networks and railway systems, as well as health care products. Currently, Nokia employs over 5,400 people in Poland; most of the staff – nearly 4,000 people – are employed in R&D in centres operating in Wrocław, Bydgoszcz and Kraków. Whereas, Global Centres located in Warszawa and Bydgoszcz provide services to clients around the world.
