European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
The Turkish-owned Mata Automotive will create around 250 new jobs in Slovakia at its new plant in Nova Ves near Velky Krtis, starting immediately. Production will be launched early October and the first 30 employees will be hired between the end of September and mid-October 2017.
The company produces interior decorative components for cars Chrysler, Aston Martin, Dodge, Cadillac, Corvette, GM, Tesla and Jaguar Land Rover. According the mayor of Nova Ves, the region suffers from a high level of unemployment and any investor is welcomed. Mata Automotive decided to come to the area for reasons of accessibility and geographical proximity to Hungary and its capital Budapest.
