European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Computer retailer Misco UK has entered administration which will lead to the loss of 300 jobs. Misco UK is part of Misco Europe, which will continue to trade in Italy, Spain, The Netherlands and Sweden. Of the jobs to be cut, reports suggest that around 80 staff lose their jobs at the warehouse operations in Greenock, and around 200 staff will be let go from the company's headquarters in Wellingborough. At the time of the announcement, 330 staff were employed across the two sites. The remaining staff will be kept on to assist the administrators.
