European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
German company Covestro (formerly Bayer Material Science), a polyurethane and polycarbonate producer, expands its business to Slovakia. It opened a new shared services centre in Bratislava in September 2017. The centre will employ 220 highly qualified people mostly in accounting. Also companies like IBM, Amazon, Johnson Controls and PwC have shared services centres in Slovakia. In 2016, Covestro employed about 15,600 people in its production plants in 30 countries.
