European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Polycom, a manufacturer of polymer products for the automotive and other industries based in Poljane (near Škofja Loka), will expand its production and employ 28 new employees in the beginning of 2018. Polycom is a family business currently employing 250 workers. The demand for their products has increased much more than it was expected, so Polycom has accelerated the construction of a new factory. The production in the new location will start in January 2018, few months before what it was planned. The investment amounts to €11 million. Polycom has already hired 40 new employees in 2017 and will employ 28 additional workers in 2018, mostly technical engineers, mechatronics, toolmakers, and electricians.
