Jackson's bakery has announced plans to open a new site in Corby, Northamptonshire which will result in the creation of 100 new jobs. The business, which is part of the Hull based William Jackson Food Group, bought the site in February 2017 and will invest GBP 40 million in a new facility for bread production. The site is expected to be open in the summer of 2018. Jacksons currently bakes around 2 million loaves per week and supplies 70 per cent of the bread used in pre-made sandwiches.
