European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Spanish car components manufacturer Gestamp plans to open a new factory in Nitra, Slovakia, in mid-2018. An investment of over €133 million will create 230 new jobs at the site. The new factory will specialise in aluminium components for automotive industry. Initially, it will supply Jaguar Land Rover's new plant in Nitra, but there are plans for cooperation with other car manufacturers as well. The company operates 102 factories in 21 countries and as of December 2016 it employed over 36,000 people.
