The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Austrian construction company Porr Poland has announced that it will create between 500 and 1,000 new jobs in Poland by the end of 2018. The company is looking for blue collars with various specialisations, engineers and managers. The source reports that about 500 employees were already hired by Porr in 2017.The company hopes to be able to employ skilled workers who are being made redundant by Skanska (2,500 redundancies announced in February 2018).
Currently, Porr Poland employs about 2,500 people in Norway, Germany and Poland (2,100 workers). Porr, according to Deloitte, is the tenth largest construction company in Poland.
