Description
The trade unions CC.OO. and UGT in Navarra have agreed with Siemens Gamesa and its employees 226 voluntary resignations, negotiating on the first proposal of 408 dismissals. This is part of a major restructuring plan of Siemens affecting more than 6,000 employees in 24 different countries. The agreement implies redundancies of 45 days per year worked with no upper limit on the number of years, and early retirement for workers over 55 years old. Union representatives argue that this agreement sets a precedent that compels the company to negotiate to agree on working conditions in the future.
