European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Sheffield based manufacturer DavyMarkham has entered administration which has resulted in the loss of 109 jobs. The company manufactures engineering components for tunnelling and mining, and has been in business for more than 180 years. The decision to enter administration was taken after the company experienced cash flow problems and operational issues. At the time of entering administration, there were 140 employees at the business. There has been no definitive news on the future of the business, nor of what will happen to the 31 employees who currently remain.
