European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Sainsbury's supermarkets has confirmed that it is to create around 150 jobs when its new store opens in Herne Bay, Kent, towards the end of 2018. Roles at various levels within the organisation will be available at both full time and part time hours. Although the store had been built some time ago, delays have meant that the petrol station has yet to be constructed and that the store has not been fitted out. A spokesperson for the local council welcomed the news that the store would be opening later this year.
In 2017, the group announced the cut of 2,000 jobs across the UK.
