Description
Following the award of a contract to supply paper straws to fast food chain McDonalds, Transcend Packaging has announced that it will create 102 jobs. The company, which is in the process of relocating from Ebbw Vale to Ystrad Mynach, near Caerphilly, will receive over GBP 0.5 million (€563,000) over three years from the Welsh Government to support its development. The company currently employs 20 people and predicts that if growth plans work out, it will employ over 200 people by 2021. At present, there is no information on when the 102 jobs are expected to be filled.
