The French retail-trade chain Leclerc has announced the extension of its activities to the distribution of electricity to private customers by September 2018. Its CEO has announced on his personal blog the launch of this new offer that aims to attract 3 million clients by 2025 (10% of the market). This new activity will lead to create 200 net jobs within the group Leclerc. The details of the offer will be presented in September. According to the radio Europe 1, the price of Leclerc's offer could be 16% less than competitors, offering average savings of € 200 per year. Savings will be offered with coupons to use at Leclerc supermarket.
