European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
EasyJet, the UK-based low-cost airline operator, has announced that it will expand its operations at Manchester Airport in winter 2018, creating 175 new jobs locally. The company will launch new routes in November 2018 to five European destinations; Innsbruck, Lanzarote, Faro, Barcelona and Bordeaux. The management of Manchester Airport and the leaders of Greater Manchester have welcomed the news of the expansion and expect that additional ‘indirect’ jobs will also be created in the supply chain.
EasyJet Plc was founded in 1995 and has been operating international flights since 1997. The company employs over 12,000 people in eight European countries.
In 2017, the group announced the creation of 450 jobs for pilots and 1,200 new positions for cabin crew in the United Kingdom.
