Description
The Romanian producer and processor of meat Carniprod, has announced the collective dismissal of 150 people at its domestic pig holding in Tulcea. The redundancies will be implemented by 31 August 2018.
The company announced that the cause of the collective dismissal is the African swine fever that affected six counties — Ialomita, Bihor, Constata, Braila, Tulcea and Satu Mare. 45,000 domestic pigs were put down due to the swine fever.
The unions did not react to the announcement as the company has no collective agreement in force.
