European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Rockwool Ltd which manufactures fireproof materials used in cladding has announced that it is to create 65 new jobs. Rockwool has been based in South Wales for 40 years and currently employs around 400 people. The company will restart a production line which was discontinued in 2008 following the global financial crisis and the subsequent drop in demand. The recent high profile case of the Grenfall Tower disaster has led to an increase in demand for the company's fireproof materials.
Some nearby residents had objected to the company's plans on environmental grounds, but the proposals were voted through by local councillors. The timeframe for the creation of these jobs has not been announced.
