European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
The Swedish coaching, training and matching company AlphaCE is reducing staff because of reduced cooperation with the Swedish public employment service Arbetsförmedlingen.
Arbetsförmedlingen has, over the last year, significantly reduced its collaboration with external partners which directly affects AlphaCEs business opportunities. Statistics from 2017 and 2018 show that the number of customers directed to AlphaCE from Arbetsförmedlingen has dropped by 50% over the one-year period. This trend is reoccurring for the whole industry.
The CEO of AlphaCE comments: 'In a service company wages are the main cost, and when revenue falls quickly, we need to adapt our organisation according to the new state even if there are many job seekers who would need our help'.
