Description
Eye care product manufacturer Bausch & Lomb, has announced plans to create 100 new jobs at its site in county Waterford over the next four years. The expansion is part of a multi-million euro investment in the company’s operations in Ireland and in the USA. The Waterford site specialises on eye health and the silicone hydrogel contact lenses, which the company manufactures there, the site is expected to generate more than $1 billion (€885 million) of annualised revenue over the next five years.
As of November 2018, Bausch & Lomb employs 1,350 people in Ireland. Previous restructurings took place in 2015 (125 jobs created) and 2014 (200 jobs lost).
