The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
The private hospital group Juaneda, located in the Balearic Islands, has reached an agreement with unions and public authorities on a collective dismissal plan. The plan will affect 150 workers, most of them medical and nursing stuff, reducing the number of dismissals from 231, which were planned at the beginning of the negotiations. Likewise, it has also improved the economic compensations with respect to the legal minimum and to the initial proposal of the company to 30 days per year worked. The company is also legally obligated to provide a social relocation plan to reduce the period of inactivity of each worker.
Juaneda group consists of five hospitals and 380 beds in the Balearic Islands. The reduction in employment will affect three companies in the Juaneda group: Agrupación Médica Balear (Policlínica Miramar), Servicios Integrales de Sanidad and Juaneda Services and Procedures.
