Description
EME Aero, a joint venture between two German aircraft companies, Lufthansa Technik AG (50%) and MTU Aero Engines AG (50%), has announced that it will create 1,000 jobs at its MRO (Maintenance, Repair, Overhaul) centre in Jasionka by the end of 2024. The facility, with a planned annual capacity of more than 450 shop visits by the PW1000G series of geared turbofans, is expected to be operational at the beginning of 2020, but the recruitment process has already started. The company is mainly looking for aircraft mechanics, quality controllers and machine operators. The company has also launched its training centre for the new employees located in the Panatonni Park Rzeszów. The two parties will invest a total amount of around €150 million by 2020.
