Description
Budget hotel chain Travelodge has announced plans to open 100 new hotels over the coming five years and create 3,000 new jobs. The announcement of the job creation stated that the company hoped to address concerns about post-Brexit labour supply by offering flexible hours to attract job applications from parents. In 2018 the chain ended its use on outsourced labour for cleaning and abandoned its use of zero hours contracts. When announcing the new jobs, the company's chief executive remarked that the focus on both price and quality had helped to improve the firm's fortunes.
